Where do I start? Staying at Trupial, I know there's a restaurant, but I always buy food out. The restaurant I went to was closed so I decided to come back and try something from the restaurant. Can't be that bad, right? I ordered a pizza that was made dairy free as I am allergic so that I was very pleased with it. Unfortunately I was told that someone would call my room and I'll come collect. It was almost 40 minutes later when I realized that it really could not take that long. So I decided to go check and low and behold it was there waiting for me, cold 🥶. Thankfully, I used the microwave in my room, and that saved the temperature, but that wasn't that bad. I normally hate speaking about food in a negative way, but I'm sorry, the pizza in my picture could never cost $ 16.57 USD. I could count how many pieces of anchovies I got, and it was just very underseasoned and tasted like an amateur chef made that. I doubt that the rest of the food isn't good, but I really hope I had an off night. 😕

Pizza was not bad, we went there when they first opened and got our pizza in a reasonable amount of time! However the quality of their ingredients are questionable, to be specific I️ am referring to the prosciutto and their black olives

ABSOLUTELY HORABLE SERVICE. GET seated right away. Waited 20 mins, I asked to get a Waitress, and some water. 40 mins later got our appetizer. It Was good! Still no one came to fill water or ask for our drink order. Over an hour wait. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. The Waitress said they were extremely busy (lol) Ummmm really!? There were like 20 people maybe dining too.. NOT WORTH THE TIME!!!

I have been at this restaurant many times, and it was just average. But last week I noticed a big change. The menu was different, and the food was SUPERB. I asked if they had a new chef and requested to congratulate him personally. So Tayu came to our table, he is Italian. He explained to us some of his techniques. No wonder why the pasta was truly "al dente". The meat was cooked to perfection: outside it was crispy, and very tender and juicy inside. Without doubt I would say that this is by far, one of the best restaurants on the island. It might not be that fancy, but it is absolutely DELICIOUS. I am very picky with the pasta since I have Italian roots and have been to Italy many times. But this pasta and the meat where AMAZING. And on top of that, they have truly authentic Italian ice cream from il Gelato, my favorite ice cream shop in Curacao. 100% recommended. The picture attached is "filetto di manzo" and cannot remember the sauce. I ordered pasta instead of french fries, but forgot to take a picture of the pasta, it was tagliattelle with a creamy sauce that matched perfectly well with the meat.

Awesome pizza find. Expansive menu. Exceptional service. Cool ambiance and vibe. The Pizza Quattro Carne has exceptional dough and great toppings. The Zuppe Di Pesce E Frutti Di Mare Alla Napolitina seafood soup was the best. Looking forward to working through this menu.

Have not been here for a while since my last bad experience, but decided to give them another chance. This time the food was very good. We really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the service and the overall ambiance was poor. The Chef's tiramisu was about 9 dollars and was 1. Very small and 2 average tasting and therefore toooooo expensive. Gave them 3 stars because of the lack of consistent good food.
