One of my fav restos on the island. The closest i could get when i miss Malaysian food. Usually we would go to the zuikertuin branch, but this new branch would be perfect if you want to escape from the heat considering there are plenty of indoor seats.

First time having Surinamese food and was very impressed! The staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, and the food came out amazingly quickly. Definitely recommend!

Awesome foodie experience here. First time having Surinamese Cuisine and it was a treat. They have daily specials for $15 ANG, $20 on Saturday. I had the Roti Met Kip Voor (3 Chicken Thighs), that had just the right amount of kick and didn't take away from all the rich flavor. It was served almost stew like with potatoes, veggies and a hardboiled egg. The Roti is very good too. Easily got three meals out of it and the flavors keep growing. The co-owner "Rock", is a special guy and very nice to talk to. The beer is very cold. The vibe is good energy and the ambiance fits the food. The place is very clean. I see this one expanding since this is now in my top 5 on-island.
