The service was great from the young lady that attended to us. She was very attentive to our needs, knowledgeable about services within the city etc. The food was very good as well.

A local souvenir shop owner in Willemstad gave us this recommendation and even though it was super dodgy from afar, it did not disappoint in the slightest. We were greeted warmly by the staff and by what appeared to be patrons and they kindly let us use the toilet (which was however not the best indicator of the food's star rating 😂). The food was delicious: we had freshly made chicken with fries and a side of their apparently famous peanut sauce. Perfect to scratch that local street food itch at an unbeatable price of 12 ANG (around $6-7).

Leave those tourist spots alone and come here for an authentic experience. Food is amazing! Super fresh and flavorful, we drove out of the way and came here for lunch twice. Legit a little road side shop with excellent food. Customer service is perfect. Portion sizes are filling. Order a Rica fruit punch while you’re at it and to wash the food down. Just sit at the benches outside and you can see the culture and people passing by.

Decent food -chicken, ribs, pork chop, steak grilled, fries/rice/plantains/rice&beans. $10-15 USD for a dinner/lunch which is about what you pay anywhere nowadays. If you are tired of being ripped off by going to fancy restaurants (paying for the atmosphere and little else), this is a safe bet. Took our take-out and sat by Queen Emma Bridge before sunset. No one bothers you.
