Before heading into the open water, you\u2019ll participate in confined water training sessions. These sessions, conducted in a pool or pool-like conditions, are designed to introduce and develop essential freediving skills. Here, you\u2019ll practice static apnea, aiming to hold your breath for 90 seconds, and dynamic freediving, targeting a horizontal distance of 25 meters. These skills are crucial for building confidence and proficiency in a controlled environment.<\/p>
The open water sessions are where the real adventure begins. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you\u2019ll apply your skills in the open sea, learning to dive deeper while staying within safe limits. The goal is to achieve a constant weight freedive between 10 and 16 meters. Before starting your course, you\u2019ll need to fill out a Freedive Medical Statement to ensure you are fit to dive. If you answer \u201cyes\u201d to any questions, you must have a signed medical statement from a doctor prior to in-water training.<\/p>
